music concert

On Thursday, November 20, Lewistown Central 4th Graders played ukuleles at the Fall Bucket Drumming & Ukulele Concert. This was the premier performance of the ukuleles at the school. They were given to the school last April by the Jack Simmons Music Memorial.

"Jack Simmons loved music. He made a lasting impression on many people by sharing that love. The Simmons family, with the help of the community, has helped that love live on. A benefit was held in Jack’s honor to raise funds to purchase music instruments for Lewistown Schools. Mrs. Reed was so excited when her music program was blessed with ukuleles, bass guitars, tuners, strings, and other items. We know tonight he will be smiling." (Billie Simmons)

Thank you, Simmons family for this wonderful donation!! Thank you for supporting music in our school!
