Christmas border with gold tree

Twas the last day of school before winter break,
Excitement in the air, no mistake!
Hallways decked with holly and lights,
Faces glowing bright, hearts taking flight.

In classrooms, laughter and joy did resound,
As the spirit of Christmas was all around.
With crafts and carols, and stories to share,
A sense of warmth filled the chilly air.

Then came an announcement, clear and loud,
Gathering cheers from the eager crowd.
"For your spirit and leadership, true and chief,
Congratulations to those nominated, oh what a relief!"

Nominated for Indian Chief, a title of pride,
For students who with excellence abide.
In classrooms, in studies, in kindness and more,
These nominees had much to adore.

"We celebrate you on this festive day,
For your achievements in every way.
May this honor bring you cheer and light,
As we head into the Christmas night."

With cookies and cocoa, the celebration began,
Joy and pride in every student and man.
The spirit of Christmas, the pride of the school,
In this moment, every heart felt full.

So here's to the break, and to the nominees,
May your holidays be filled with peace and ease.
Happy holidays to all, and to all a good night,
May your season be merry, your future bright!
