Due to the potential for severe weather at our usual dismissal time, Lewistown schools will be dismissing early today, Friday, March 31st. In order to get everyone home safely before the severe weather conditions reach us, school will dismiss at 1:30pm. All afternoon activities have been canceled.

Central Elementary Parents: Please remember to drop children off at the Elementary end in the morning. Not only does it avoid congestion with buses but it helps us promote school safety with our little ones that want to open the door for everyone that walks up while they are in the breakfast line. Thanks to all who came out to Central Elementary's Art Show! Our wonderful lunch ladies served 142 people dinner and many others enjoyed the art gallery walk and the performance. Eliza Garren was the winner of Amy Lowe's CD, "I like gum."

Thank you to Grace Sarff for helping our elementary students shop at the Brave Buck Cart today. Students can earn Brave Bucks by showing positive behavior at school. Once a month, students can spend their Brave Bucks by purchasing items off the cart. Be Ready, Be Responsible, Be Respectful... BE THE INDIAN WAY!

The cast and crew of "Surf's Up!" hope you join them for a performance this weekend! The curtains open at 7pm Friday and Saturday and 3pm on Sunday. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for seniors and students. And grab some great food at La Fogata as well as they're donating 20% back to the high school this weekend!

Lewistown Community High School presents "Surf's Up!" live in the Shirley Shannon Auditorium. Performances will be March 10 & 11 at 7:00pm and March 12 at 3:00pm. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for seniors and students.

The LHS Student Senate, Anita Reid and Amanda Cripe deserve recognition for the work they put to help save lives! Between money raised from shirt sales (donated to the Illinois Cancer Care Foundation) and the Red Cross blood drive our fine community certainly knows how to do their part!

Elementary & Central students will celebrate Dr. Seuss on Friday, March 3rd. We will wear pajamas and read books! For each book a child reads, they will get to put a balloon in Mr. McLaughlin's office. Hopefully we can stuff it full!
