Congratulations to Joley McLaughlin for being selected by teachers and staff for the Illinois Leadership Seminar. The Illinois Leadership Seminar asks schools to nominate one student from their sophomore class to attend a weekend seminar at Illinois Weslyan University to help broaden their leadership skills. Good luck this weekend, Joley!

This is a reminder that Lewistown Schools will dismiss early tomorrow, April 19th for school improvement planning. All High School students and Central/Elementary walking and pick-up students will be dismissed at 11:15am. The Central/Elementary buses will dismiss at 11:30am.
The 2nd & 3rd grade Spring Program, Cookies! The Musical, will be Thursday, April 11 @ 6:30pm in Lewistown Central Elementary Gym. You won't want to miss it!

Update from HR Imaging regarding Spring Pictures:
Due to some technical issues, some parents weren’t able to order their child’s spring portraits online. As a result, they have decided to send home proofs to allow all parents to have the opportunity to order portraits. If you already ordered portraits, your child will not receive a proof.
**All orders for spring portraits are due by Friday, April 26th**
COIN WARS have started for Central Elementary students! The class with the highest amount will win an ice cream party! Your small change can make a big difference.
Don't forget to come sign up for Special Olympics! If you are unsure what qualifications are needed please reach out! We are starting with ages 8 and up.

Join us on April 19 for a fun night of comedy and basketball. Lewistown and Cuba schools are hosting former Harlem Globetrotter, Melvin Adams! Located at Cuba High School. Congratulations to the 7th Grade Lady Indians on winning the Regional Championship! They defeated Brown County in 3 sets. They will play in sectionals at Carthage on Monday, March 4th at 6:30.
Congratulations to the 2024 Lewistown Central Elementary Spelling Bee Champion CJ Custer and Runner-Up Leslie Keime. These two, along with 21 4th-6th graders, spelled their way through 14 rounds before CJ was declared the champion by correctly spelling "possible." The competition was fierce, and everyone did an amazing job!
The annual Lewistown Central Elementary Talent is coming up soon on Saturday, March 16. Notes have gone home and the deadline for signing up was on Friday. Due to the small number of entries, I have extended the deadline to Wednesday, February 28. Please turn in your papers or sign up on the sheet by the music room door. Questions?
