Dear Parents and Students,
This year, we will be having our Fall Celebration on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 by having classroom parties and dressing up. Students will need to come to school in their costumes. Face painting should be kept at a minimum and should be done before school. Teachers and staff will NOT be face painting students.
When planning your costumes, please keep the following in mind, as these are the expectations and guidelines for the day: costumes should be tasteful, modest, and appropriate for a school environment and follow the basic guidelines of school dress standards. No form of weapon, blood, or gore may be part of the costume. This should be a fun day for all children, so we are asking that scary characters such as Scream, Chucky, Jason, and Clowns (It), etc. not be part of the day. Students whose costumes do not meet these standards will be asked to call home for a change of clothing. Teachers and staff are not responsible for lost, stolen, or broken costumes.
Parents and special guests are invited to school for our fun-filled activities.
Our costume parade will begin at 9:30am. Pre-K - 6th grade students will parade around the Elementary Playground (weather permitting) or Central Gym in inclement weather. Guests are encouraged to stay on the playground’s wood chipped area or sit on the bleachers during the short parade. Class parties will follow the parade from 10:00-11:00am.
We will also have an 11:30 dismissal on October 31.
Thank you for all that you do!
Mr. McLaughlin

Lewistown High School is currently experiencing a partial power outage that has affected our gym, locker rooms, and public bathrooms. The outage has not affected our ability to hold classes, serve meals, or safely serve our students. Due to the availability of the type of equipment needed to remedy the issue, some home events and practices may need to be rescheduled or relocated until we can get this problem fixed. Please continue to monitor the district communications and social media for updates on any changes to our schedules.
