An update on heat-impacted practices:
- LVC JH football practice has been moved to Central (Mon-Thur nights) after school.
- JH Cross Country is at Central/Elementary tonight (Monday) and TBA after that.
- LVC HS cross country practice is tonight (Monday) inside Lewistown HS and TBA after that.
- LVC HS golf practice is cancelled through Thursday.
LVC Mini Miner Cheer Camp (Wednesday the 13th and Thursday the 14th are the correct dates)
LVC Golf matches and LVC High School Cross Country events have been cancelled for today due to the heat. Practice announcements will be made as the day progresses.
As you are aware, there is an extreme heat advisory through Thursday. Our buses are not air conditioned. We encourage any students riding buses this week to bring water bottles. Lewistown CUSD 97 will be taking all of our usual heat precautions.

Thank you to Sydney Shaeffer for helping our elementary students shop for the last time at the brave buck cart. Sydney will be a senior next year at the U of I. She is also a Lewistown High School alumni who was the Salutatorian of the Class of 2020. You may also remember Sydney as a 3 sport All-State athlete in volleyball, basketball, and softball.
