LEWISTOWN HIGH SCHOOL RECOGNIZES SIX SENIORS
AS ILLINOIS STATE SCHOLARS
The Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC), the state's college access and financial aid agency, is pleased to announce the 2025-2026* Illinois State Scholars. These top-performing high school seniors are selected annually based on their ACT or SAT test scores and class rank at the end of their junior year. The students rank in approximately the top ten percent of graduates from Illinois high schools, designating their strong academic standing.

All high school students and early bus riders will dismiss at 11:15am, Central/Elementary walking and pick-up students will be dismissed at 11:20am, and the Central/Elementary buses will dismiss at 11:30am.
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Lewistown Jr/Sr High School will be participating in our annual mental health screener to help identify students in need. This screener gives us an opportunity to identify and provide appropriate mental health services for students who may not have the courage to ask for help. I will be going to each study hall over the next two weeks to administer this on-line screener. Even if you believe your child is not in need of any mental health services we still would like all students to participate in this screener for data purposes. By collecting reliable data, we can apply for grant funds to service our students who are in need. LVC Homecoming 2024 preparations are underway! The theme for this year's event is "American Roadtrip" and it will run September 23-28, 2024. The Lewistown High School yearbook staff will be selling yearbooks at registration on Monday and Tuesday, but you can also order them online at yearbookforever.com or send/deliver your payment to the high school. Yearbooks are $50 each +$5 for a name stamp.
Note: 2024 yearbooks will be distributed the first full week of school. There is a limited number of extras available for purchase, too.

The Illinois Leadership Seminar asks schools to nominate one student from their sophomore class to attend a weekend seminar at Illinois Weslyan University to help broaden their leadership skills.
