Congratulations to our 7th and 8th Grade LVC Girls Track teams! They captured the Sectional Championship at both levels in the IESA 3A Sectional track meet at Farmington today!!
Good luck to the following athletes who have qualified to participate in the IESA State Track Meet at Eastside Center in East Peoria on Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18.

The LVC Jr. High Track team wrapped up their regular season this week. The boys and girls teams recorded many personal bests and won numerous awards.
The LVC 8th Grade girls were Little Prairieland Conference Champions, Jimmy Newell Memorial Invitational Champions, and Ingersoll Invitational Champs.
The LVC 7th Grade girls were Big 5 Conference Champions, Little Prairieland Conference Champions, Jimmy Newell Memorial Invitational Champions, Fulton County Champions, and Ingersoll Invite Champs.

The Lewistown Softball game vs North Fulton has been canceled due to wet field conditions.
Reminder: Lewistown schools will not be in session tomorrow, May 10th or Friday, May 17th. The last day of student attendance will be May 22nd and will be a 2pm dismissal.

There will be a Lewistown High School Girls Basketball informational meeting for players and parents on Tuesday, May 7th at 5:30pm at the high school. Summer basketball information will be passed out at this time.

**Senior Night Celebrations for Baseball and Softball**
LVC Baseball will honor their Seniors tonight at 4:20 before their game against Atown. Lewistown Softball will honor their Seniors before their game against Macomb tomorrow. Come out and celebrate our athletes and all their hard work.
Bus 16 is delayed this afternoon due to mechanical issues. We are switching buses and resuming the route. The delay will be roughly 10 minutes.
Today's LVC Varsity/FR Baseball game vs Midwest Central is canceled.
Our annual St. Jude Laps for Life kicks off this week. Every student in grades PreK-6th should have brought home their envelopes on Friday. These are due on Friday, May 3rd. Any student that brings in $15 gets a Laps for Life tshirt. The top fundraisers get to throw a pie in a staff members face.
Just a reminder that due to having a snow day in January, Friday, May 3rd is now a regular day of student attendance for Lewistown Schools.

-Lewistown Softball game vs Brimfield scheduled for tonight is postponed until May 4th at 10:00am. The previously schedule game with Limestone on May 4th is canceled.
-The rescheduled Lewistown Softball game vs BPC tomorrow is postponed again until April 30th. The previously scheduled game with Monmouth/Roseville on April 30th is canceled.
-LVC Baseball @ Brimfield tomorrow is being postponed until 4-30 @ Brimfield @ 4:30pm.
Lewistown FFA member, Carter Sours, was elected to the Section 12 Officer Team at last night's banquet. He will serve at the Section Sentinel for 2024-2025 year.

Congratulations to the 2024 LVC girls track team for their outstanding performance at the Fulton County track meet last night at Canton. Our girls finished 2nd overall and set several new PRs. Our 2024 Fulton County Champions are as follows: Samantha Thum in the long jump and triple jump, Kacie White in the discus, and Grace Yaste in the 100 M. Hurdles. Keep up the good work!
Also, congratulations to the LVC boys track team for a fantastic effort last night at the 2024 Fulton County track meet. Brennan Grove was Fulton County champion in the 300 M Int. Hurdles. Great job by all of you!
