We have kicked off our 2026 Friday Night Lights!

Congratulations to Sandy Whitman on her retirement! Sandy has been with the district for 39 years as one of our wonderful lunch ladies. All of us are going to miss her greatly and wish her the best in her retirement.

Handbook Quiz Winners! 🎉 What better way to reinforce our student handbook than with a little friendly competition?! Congratulations to our A+ winners: 🏆 David Wetterauer — 8th Grade 🏆 Molly Beyers — 10th Grade 🏆 Liam Larson — 12th Grade Each winner earned a personalized prize for showing they were paying attention! 👏 A fun way to kick off the year, reinforce our expectations, and give students a chance to ask follow-up questions.

The Class of 2027 was up bright and early this morning for a special Senior Sunrise on the football field! 🌅🏈 A great way to kick off their senior year, make some memories, and enjoy some time together before the school day began. Here’s to a great year for our seniors! Let’s make it one to remember, Class of 2027!

We are having a great 1st day of student attendance at Lewistown Central Elementary! Students have received school supplies as needed. Huge thank you to the Bryant Christian Church and the Masonic Lodge for the donations! ❤️💙

Meet The Miners night is still on at 6pm tonight. Please park in the paved lots at the high school. Do not park in the grass lots as they are soft and we do not want to tear up the practice fields.

Congratulations to Mary Ann Scott and Chris Peterson on their retirement from Lewistown CUSD #97! Mary Ann has been with the district for over 40 years and Chris was in the district for 10 years, but has been in education for 51 years. Most recently, they were both Reading Interventionists at Central Elementary. They will be greatly missed, but we wish them the best in their retirement!

What a great way to kick off our first Teacher Institute Day! We were fortunate to welcome Blake Fry, who delivered an outstanding, audience-participation-filled message about the power of showing appreciation, building relationships, and creating a strong sense of community. A great start to the 2026-27 school year!

The JH Baseball game for today has been canceled. There will be no practice.

JH Softball will have hitting practice at Higgins Field in Lewistown until 5:00pm.

The LVC JH Baseball game scheduled for today (8-12) has been postponed to Monday, August 17th in Lewistown at 4:30pm. Practice today will be at Cuba HS at 3:30pm.

Attention Parents of Central Elementary students in grades Prek, Kindergarten, 2nd and 6th: Mandatory health records are due now. Please turn them into the Office. Deadline for records in 10/15/26. I will be sending out reminders in September for records not received. If perchance your appointment is scheduled for past the due date I will just need the appointment date and time in writing sent to me at adowning@lewistown97.net. Thank you!

Attention Parents of our 9th and 12th graders. If you haven't yet turned in the mandatory health records this is friendly reminder to start turning them in as soon as possible. The latest we can accept records is 10/15/2026. I will start sending out reminder letters in September. If for some reason you are not able to schedule your student until after 10/15, I will just need written proof of the appointment date and time.
