Tomorrow is our 1st powwow assembly day! We will celebrate positive behavior with a presentation from 1st and 6th grade and recognize our STAR student nominees. Parents/Visitors are welcome! We will have bleacher seating in each gym. All visitors will be required to sign in at the office upon arriving. Elementary powwow 9:00am located in the elementary gym for students K-3rd grade. Central powwow 10:30am located in the central gym for students 4-6th grade.

The 2025 LVC Miners Homecoming Court got dressed up for Emotions Day! This is a reminder that Lewistown Schools will dismiss early tomorrow, Friday, September 19th. All HS and JH students will dismiss at 11:15. Central/Elementary walking and pick-up students will be dismissed at 11:20am, and the Central/Elementary buses will dismiss at 11:30am. The Lewistown Homecoming Parade is at 12:30. The parade starts at the fairgrounds and ends right before the post office.

The Lewistown Marching Band brought home a 3rd place trophy from Saturday's Canton Friendship Festival Parade. Let's hear it for the band!

Lewistown HS VB had a successfull day Saturday, placing 2nd at the Quad Cities Christian Tournament. The Indians won by forfeit over Peoria Manual, beat QCC 25-18 and 25-17, beat Coram Deo Academy 25-10 and 25-10, and lost to 4A United Township 25-14 and 25-19. Leaders for the weekend were-

Weekend Athletics Update-

Both HS and JH XC ran at PORTA.

HS XC- Productive morning for the Miners at a tough Porta course on Saturday. We had 3 girls medal, Layne Stout, Grace Bonney, and Anna Larson. Layne Stout impressively ran a personal record to finish first for LVC on a course/day that did not make it an easy PR! On the boys side we had two boys receiving medals. Blake Mason finishing 10th and Liam Larson finishing 12th! Go Miners

JH XC- Sydney Barnes led the girls team with a time of 18:14
Luke Larson led the boys team with a time of 14:03
Emberlyn Minor, Melodee Tarvin, Luke Wetterauer, and Krew Peirce all achieved PR times.

Varsity Football-
Gauge Kruzan ran for 61 yards a TD and 2-pt conversion. Jace Butler rushed for another 40 yards. Defensively, Carter Clemons was a part of 7 tackles while Kade Peirce assisted with 5.

Connor Kotewa led the boys team and medaled, coming in 25th out of 144 runners. Krew Peirce and Cameron Webb both achieved new PR times. Sydney Barnes was the top finisher for the girls team

The LVC Varsity Football team fell to Knoxville on Friday night. Gauge Kruzan scampered for a 40 yard touchdown while Jace Butler led the team in rushing with 54 rushing yards. Defensively, Carter Clemons led the way with 6 tackles followed by Ethan Keefauver with 5.
