Tomorrow (May 23) is our Summer Send Off celebration! Elementary preK-3rd grade Pow Wow 9:00am located in elementary gym. Central grades 4-6th awards ceremony located in Central gym at 10am. 2:00 Dismissal for all. We hope everyone has a safe and fun summer! School starts for students again in the fall on August 16, 2023.

Thank you to Sydney Shaeffer for helping our elementary students shop for the last time at the brave buck cart. Sydney will be a senior next year at the U of I. She is also a Lewistown High School alumni who was the Salutatorian of the Class of 2020. You may also remember Sydney as a 3 sport All-State athlete in volleyball, basketball, and softball.

Congratulations to the LVC Baseball team on winning the 2A Regional Championship 4-0 over Farmington on Saturday. They now move on to the Sectional on Thursday, May 25th @ 4:30 in Knoxville.

Congratulations to the LVC JH Track teams on a great performance at their Sectional on Saturday. The 7th grade girls took second place n a very competitive 3A sectional meet. 9 athletes qualified for the state meet next weekend. We are proud of all our athletes this year! Go Miners! Please join us for a fun-filled Track & Field night on May 17th from 5:30-7:30pm at the Lewistown Elementary playground. This event will be fun for the whole family with activities such as: - sack races - parachute - around the world - three-legged races - obstacle course - hot lava Families can come anytime and choose which activities they would like to participate in. Drinks, snacks and a medal will be provided for all participants. Lace up your sneakers and come join the fun! We can't wait to see everyone!

Tonight is our Central Elementary Band & Chorus concert @ 6:30pm at Porter Park (the gazebo across the street from the courthouse). There will be a world premiere performance of one of our songs! One of our 3rd grade students wrote a song that the chorus will be singing. You won't want to miss this debut performance! Don't forget to bring a chair.

Please note the following changes: Tonight, Tuesday, May 9, is the 4th Grade Recorder and 4-6th Grade Bucket Drumming Concert at Central Elementary Gym @ 6:30pm. Thursday, May 11 is the Central Band & Chorus Concert at Porter Park (weather permitting) @ 6:30pm.

It has been a busy day at Central Elementary! 6th graders presented their Living Wax Museum. You can see Thomes Jefferson, Annie Oakley, and Sacagawea featured here. The HS FFA also provided Barnyard Days for our students. Mr. Braun enjoyed playing with the piglets.

Several K-3 students recently attended the Courageous Smiles Track and Field day and had an amazing time!

Reminder tomorrow is K-6th grade Laps for Life! St. Jude envelopes are also due tomorrow. Please wear tennis shoes, appropriate clothing, and bring bottled water.

Elementary PE classes will be having some fun today! Thanks to all who donated cardboard boxes.

The end of the year is near! Central & Elementary students will be celebrating the last days of school with our "Indians" countdown. We are proud to be LEWISTOWN INDIANS!

Congratulation to LVC 7th and 8th grade girls track teams. Both teams are the 2023 Fulton County Champions! 8th grade boys placed 2nd, and Kacie White set a new 8th grade girls Fulton County discus record with a throw of 101'3"!

Elementary students should have brought home a Laps For Life packet Friday. Students who bring in $15 get a St. Jude tshirt! Please write their shirt size on the envelope. All proceeds go to the Lewistown to Peoria St. Jude Run to help families battling cancer. Money is due May 5
