The Lewistown High School Volleyball Team took home the Fulton County Championship today by going 4-0 over South Fulton, Farmington, Canton, and North Fulton. Members of the Fulton County All-Tournament Team sponsored by Camille's of Canton, Inc were Grace Yaste, Kacie White, and Mollie Cornell of North Fulton, Carysn Braun and Joley McLaughlin of Lewistown, and Emma Turner of Canton. This is a reminder that Lewistown Schools will dismiss early tomorrow, Friday, September 26th for school improvement. All JH, HS, and Central/Elementary walking and pick-up students will be dismissed at 11:20am, and the Central/Elementary buses will dismiss at 11:30am.

The high school volleyball teams took two games from Rushville both in thrilling, three set games. JV won 22-25, 25-9, 15-13 while the Varsity won 20-25, 27-25, 25-19. Stat leaders include-

Elementary School Star Students were recognized at the Indian Way Assembly on Friday, September 19th for their outstanding behavior and responsibility. We recognized Mrs. Rachel Row as our outstanding Star Staff member for the month of September. The NED Show is coming to Lewistown Central Elementary School tomorrow! During this assembly students will learn to Never give up, Encourage others, and Do your best. Part of the NED experience is learning yo-yo tricks. Yo-yo sales will be available to purchase while supplies last or until Oct. 1.

Central School Star Students for September were recognized at the Indian Way assembly on Friday, September 19th for their outstanding behavior. We also recognized an amazing staff member, Rachel Row, for her dedication to our students and school. Congratulations to all!

The JH Cross Country team participated in the Big 5 JH Conference Meet yesterday. There were quite a few successful runners!

Sydney Barnes, Paisley Garber, Willow McLaren, Emberlyn Minor, Luke Larson, Luke Wetterauer, Krew Peirce, and Cameron Webb all improved on their course times, collectively shaving off more than 6 minutes!

The LVC HS Girls Golf team also had a successful night on the links. The girls won their golf meet last night against Canton and Farmington. Emma Probyn came in with a 50, Mayah Brenner 51, Macy Eaten 53, and Sam Bonney with a 55

This is a reminder that Lewistown Schools will dismiss early on Friday, September 26th for school improvement planning and staff training. All high school students and early bus riders will dismiss at 11:15am, Central/Elementary walking and pick-up students will be dismissed at 11:20am, and the Central/Elementary buses will dismiss at 11:30am.

Homecoming is always a fun and exciting time. This year was no different as the students continued to make Core Memories!
-The Lewistown students brought home the Traveling Pickaxe Trophy from the assembly on Friday.
-Both parades went off very successfully as well.
-Former Lewistown student-athlete, Cade Beekman, made a homecoming appearance as a coach on the sidelines for our opponent, Peru St. Bede.
-The game may not have ended the way we wanted, but the boys continue to battle each game. Jace Butler and Gauge Kruzan both led the team in rushing and in tackles.
-Finally, the kids danced the night away in Cuba on Saturday.

Tomorrow is our 1st powwow assembly day! We will celebrate positive behavior with a presentation from 1st and 6th grade and recognize our STAR student nominees. Parents/Visitors are welcome! We will have bleacher seating in each gym. All visitors will be required to sign in at the office upon arriving. Elementary powwow 9:00am located in the elementary gym for students K-3rd grade. Central powwow 10:30am located in the central gym for students 4-6th grade.
