The HS GBB Team beat North Fulton 42-28 on Saturday to win the Fulton County Tournament. This was their second consecutive County Championship and 6th in the last 7 years. Joley McLaughlin and Carsyn Braun were selected to the All-Tournament Team. The win was extra special as it was Coach Beebe's 300th career win! Stats for the game were-

On Thursday, November 20, Lewistown Central 4th Graders played ukuleles at the Fall Bucket Drumming & Ukulele Concert. This was the premier performance of the ukuleles at the school. They were given to the school last April by the Jack Simmons Music Memorial. Thank you, Simmons family for this wonderful donation!! Thank you for supporting music in our school!

The HS GBB team beat South Fulton last night in the Fulton County Tournament to run their record to 2-0. The girls will play North Fulton at 7:30pm tomorrow in Lewistown for the County Championship. Stats for last night were-

This morning, Lewistown Central Elementary School was placed in a “soft lockdown” status, meaning no one was allowed to enter or exit the building and students were kept in their classrooms. This measure was taken out of an abundance of caution after we received information that a note was found that indicated a possible threat of violence. Local law enforcement was contacted and responded immediately and investigated the situation. The soft lockdown status has now been lifted, and there is no threat to students or staff.
We appreciate the quick response of our local police and the cooperation of our students and staff in following safety procedures. The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority.

IHSA sponsored a Student Leadership Conference at the Embassy Suites in East Peoria yesterday. Our students enjoyed guest speakers on how to expand their leadership skills. Lewistown students were nominated by coaches and voted on by their teachers. Members of the Lewistown High School Mentoring class attended the Future Teacher Conference at Illinois State University on Friday, November 7th. This conference is offered to high school students who are considering a career in education. Approximately 1,600 students from across the state participated in this remarkable event.

Congratulations to our Football and Volleyball All Conference athletes!
Addison Roddis was named to the Prairieland North All Conference 1st team while Carsyn Braun and Ahnna Richardson were named to the 2nd Team.
Gauge Kruzan was named the 1st Team Unanimous Punter for the Lincoln-Prairie All Conference. Gauge was also named as an Honorable Mention QB. Carter Clemons was awarded 2nd Team both sides of the ball at OL and LB.
