
The Lewistown Truck and Tractor Pull presented a donation of $5,250 to Lewistown FFA last night. This event has raised $66,000 for local schools since 2018. Lewistown District 97 thanks you for your hard work, generosity, and support of our students.

Students from the LCHS Mentoring/ED 201 class recently traveled to Illinois State University for the Future Teachers Conference. This conference was developed for high school students who are considering a career in education. At the conference, students took a campus tour and participated in breakout sessions focused on various content areas of education.

Today we celebrated our October Chief nominees! They enjoyed Casey’s pizza, chips and ice cream sandwiches! We also read a story about a trip to the pumpkin patch with a customized pumpkin craft! Congratulations to these hard-working kiddos!

Lewistown CUSD 97's annual Veterans Day Celebration in conjunction with the VFW and American Legion is fast approaching. See the photo below for more details. The VFW will also host a dinner following the celebration.


LEWISTOWN HIGH SCHOOL RECOGNIZES SIX SENIORS
AS ILLINOIS STATE SCHOLARS
The Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC), the state's college access and financial aid agency, is pleased to announce the 2025-2026* Illinois State Scholars. These top-performing high school seniors are selected annually based on their ACT or SAT test scores and class rank at the end of their junior year. The students rank in approximately the top ten percent of graduates from Illinois high schools, designating their strong academic standing.
